The Elder Scrolls
I would love for someone to explain the full story behind these, not just skyrim please lol played alot of that. Skyrim discussion is allowed ofcourse though.
Re: The Elder Scrolls
Oblivion plot: You are a (insert race) that likes to run around aimlessly for many hours and solve problems for townsfolk. Most of the time is spent out running away from soldiers or enemies that are too powerful. Occasionally you come across these "oblivion gates" that you are supposed to close or something, but after closing the first one you realize how stupid they are and just stop going in them.
That is Oblivion for you.
That is Oblivion for you.
Re: The Elder Scrolls
This goes for pretty much any RPGs. You are a random person you make who turns out to randomly be of great importance. He then goes through the world and apparently everyone needs help at the moment you arrive. You are one of the only people who helps anyone at all, so you have to do just about everything.

That simulates the real world.
Re: The Elder Scrolls
I personally prefer Fallout 3 over Skyrim. There's less walking and you actually get to do stuff instead of hiking all your way across the map. The combat is also more fun for me.

Re: The Elder Scrolls
I liked the quest line and weaponry in skyrim, but you are right fallout 3 is probably a better game in whole, I love the way you can stop time to zoom and stuff its pretty clever. I was never big into it but my roomate is and the combat is sweet lol.Dudeacus97 wrote:I personally prefer Fallout 3 over Skyrim. You should try Fallout 3 some time. It's pretty good. It's like Skyrim with guns in post-apocalyptic America. Actually, it would be more accurate to call Skyrim Fallout 3 with swords in Midieval Scandinavia. Look on the Fallout post for more info.
Stormcloaks FTW!!!

Re: The Elder Scrolls
Lol lets have a stormcloak/imperial debate
I say Stormcloaks because it is an authority formed by the people of skyrim, whereas, the imperials are decendents of a land farther into tamriel I believe? Contrived from the emporer, if we look into history similar rulerships, such as the roman empire, did not turn out well. Granted, Constantine the Great was an incredible ruler, some of the rulers led mass genocides and things, I know each man in rule holds responsibility but the general population of mass rulers proved to be power hungry, however, the rulers of the land in which they were bred from seemed to have a more territorial and less virus-like approach to their conquest. Territorial rulers, in my opinion, are better because they believe in controling what they rightfully own, and not spreading their ruling in a power-hungry steriotypical approach.

I joined the Stormcloaks because I like their accents.

Re: The Elder Scrolls
I joined the Imperials first cause
1: I thought that the Stormcloaks were just crazy racist rebels.
2: I didn't know you could follow Ralof (I think that's the Stormcloakin the start) so I followed Hadvar. At the end I got the assignment and just followed the arrow.
I don't like either. Stormcloaks just seem racist, not wanting anyone else and discriminating against freakin elves. I love Dark Elves, they remind me of Danny Trejo.
Imperials. Let's just say I don't like it when you fuuck with religion.
