Fallout
Considering we have a thread for the Elder Scrolls, Borderlands, and Dead Island, I think we have to have one for Fallout.

The backstory to Fallout centers around a war between the United States and China in the mid 21st century. In 2077, the war went nuclear and almost all life was wiped out. Almost. Before the bombs fell, the American government created shelters called "Vaults" where people would live until the radiation cleared (so it would be safe, not fully cleared) so they could start civilization again.
The storyline of Fallout 3 (only one I played) is about a project to purify all of the water because it's unsafe to drink. The game starts out as you are growing up and learning the controls. When you turn 19, your father escapes the vault that you grew up in and you go out looking for him. After going around looking for your father, you eventually find him and learn that he is working on Project Purity, the forementioned project to purify all of the water that was inspired by a bible verse (Revelations 21:6). The quests mainly involve, in true RPG fashion, getting random things that are needed for the project. The main villains in Fallout 3 (there are also beasts, feral ghouls, raiders, and other stuff) are the Enclave, which are the last remnants of the extremely Corrupt American government. In the end, there is a massive fight with a commie-hunting 50-foot tall robot that throws nukes.

Re: Fallout
Sounds shockingly possible, the U.S does owe alot of money.. and I think by now almost every military has nuclear warheads. Scary thought!
Re: Fallout
Also, if you play Fallout, then just know that there are so many weapons because they are manufactured at the time.

Re: Fallout
Yes, it is similar to skyrim in alot of ways. I think its cool how that company straight up owns rpg now, even with crappy save features fallout dominates post-apocolyptic warfare and skyrim does whatever it does. I hope for more elder scrolls! hopefully the next one has a serious twist. NO MORE DRAGONBORN PLEASE. Skyrim is enough!wldmn14 wrote:In fallout the weapons are just cool and anything you shoot it attacks you
